Organic - Call it Quantum Food
By Brit Elders

Here is a bit of food for thought...

Organic - Call it Quantum Food
Energy and food; they go hand in hand. Without food you have no energy. But as you bite into a ripe organic tomato you may not realize that the energy being received from it stems from a larger consciousness than the nutrients it provides our body. Energy is an unseen power, a life force that inner-acts with us in more ways than we realize.

Begin with the Earth.
Rich, dark, fragrant soil, full of natural organisms that help produce the nutrients that will feed a seedling and create a strong healthy plant. It is a living energy.

Visit the farmers.
They may not know you, but they care enough the Earth, the environment, and about you to nurture the soil with natural compost and without chemical fertilizers that kill the living energy of the soil.

Hold the tiny seed.
A whole, unaltered, naturally reoccurring seed will provide you with crop after crop of delicious nutrition. This seed has not been genetically modified; it’s pure and carries with it the energy of its ancestors.

Watch the growing season.
The seed sprouts and grows, strong and healthy, carrying with it the energy of the soil and the energy of the farmers until it finally produces a food filled with nutrients and energy that has not been polluted with chemical pesticides.

It’s harvest time.
The tomato is not picked while it is green and still gathering energy. It is ripe, colorful and full of all of the energy that helped it develop to it’s best.

Take a trip to the grocers or farmer’s market.
When you pick the tomato up it feels smooth and firm, not waxy and soft. You are feeling its energy. Your mouth waters in anticipation of the taste.

It’s time for dinner.
You gently wash the tomato and place it on the cutting board. It will be the perfect addition to your salad. But… do you stop and think about where that tomato originated? About the care of the farmer that planted it in rich organic soil and cared for it as it grew? Do you think about all of the energy that has gone into providing you with a tasty delicacy? Food and it’s source, how it was grown, and how it is consumed is a luxury we too often take for granted.

The next time you are in the market and pick up an organic tomato, remember its source and the energy it is carrying into your body. It’s not just about the nutrients.
